sinlab director

Dr. BRIAN HAYDEN

Brian has been with SINLAB since 2014. His research addresses the trophic ecology underpinning aquatic and terrestrial food webs across the globe.

Postdoctoral Queens University, Belfast & the University of Helsinki (Finland)

Science manager

EMILY WEIGUM, MSc

Emily is a marine biologist with a special interest in using stable isotopes to investigate the trophic dynamics and ecology of marine fishes. Her current research is focused on linking declining Atlantic salmon (Salmo salar) populations with multidecadal changes in their marine foraging ecology.

PhD Ecology University of Illinois
MSc Botany University of Wyoming
BSc Ecology; Geology, Philosophy of Science University of Pittsburgh

Sample Manager

ALEX DICKEY, BSc

Alex is a marine biologist with a passion for who’s eating whom in marine food webs. Her current research is focused on the ecosystem dynamics of the Bay of Fundy, where she follows the nutrient breadcrumbs that fuel it. Using both bulk and compound-specific stable isotope analysis, Alex blends science with a love of the sea to better understand the hidden connections beneath the waves.
